Welcome First Graders!
We had a fabulous day today. Our day started out with a morning meeting. We will be having a morning meeting each day. This is will help our class build a positive community and creates a climate of trust. Each morning meeting has 4 parts...
1. Greeting - Today we learned how to properly shake our neighbors hand and greet them by name.
2. Sharing - Today we did a "rocket share." Mrs. Hagen asked us what our favorite color was. We went around and shared. It was fun to notice how many other friends liked the same color.
3. Activity - Today we played "POP UP." It is a fun number game. Ask your child how the game was played.
4. News and Announcements - We end each meeting with an overview of the day. Here is where we do the calendar and talk about what to expect that day.
We were lucky enough to have gym today with Mr. Halvarson. To top all things off, we played on the new playground. All students know the safe way to play on the playground, and they know the boundaries of our outside area. Mrs. Hagen's class is ready for a Fantastic year!
